5th Civil Society Forum on Sustainability: Shaping the European Green Deal

CRLDS, as an associate partner of the REAL DEAL project met in Brussels with more than 60 civil society organizations (CSOs) from across Europe and beyond for the fifth edition of the "Civil Society Forum on Sustainability: Building the Agreement on European Green" on June 26 and 27, 2023. During two days, CSOs with an interest in just transition, consultative democracy, social justice and environmental sustainability discussed together the future of the European Green Deal and the 2030 Agenda

Organized by the REAL DEAL project, the Civil Society Forum is a space for CSOs and other stakeholders from across Europe to come together and exchange views on the European Green Deal (EGD), the EU's strategy for make Europe climate neutral by 2050.

The forum is co-organized by SDG Watch Europe, SOLIDAR and the European Environment Bureau (EEB), together with the partners of the REAL DEAL project.

Strategies to advance Europe's green transition towards the 2030 Agenda and the future of EGD were the focus of the event, particularly in the social, economic, participatory, environmental and international dimensions. The purpose of the meeting was to develop policy recommendations through a discussion with policy makers, CSOs and other stakeholders.
