INNOVATION MANAGEMENT IN THE BLUE ECONOMY

Staff of CRLDs  have been participant in the course: “INNOVATION MANAGEMENT IN THE BLUE ECONOMY”

The course consists of 2 workshops:
- Workshop1: Introduction to Innovation as a Management Process: Development of Technology and Knowledge Products and Services (Completed in April 2023)
- Workshop 2: Day 2 Risk management and development of innovative organizations and teams

Innovation gives us new products and services. It is the lifeblood of the enterprise's competitiveness. It holds the key to addressing many of the societal and environmental challenges we face today.

But learning to innovate and developing a culture of innovation is important for all organizations.
Managing innovation, including the inherent risks, is key to being a good innovator. This would be the topic of the course: "Innovation Management in the Blue Economy", of which CRLDS was also a part.

Trainer was Dr Lisa Cowey MBA, University of Oxford, with over 30 years experience in research and innovation.

She presented the basics of innovation to produce products and services, but also its role as a management process including risk analysis and culture.
