Regional Forum of NGOs on the Green Agenda for the Western Balkans

During 2 days CRLDS participated in the Regional Forum of NGOs on the Green Agenda for the Western Balkans, held in Belgrade, Hotel Mona Plaza, 29-30 March 2023, organized by the Regional Cooperation Council and the EU4Green Project, supported by DG Near, with the presence of the General Secretary of RCC Mrs. Majlinda Bregu and many European and regional actresses.

GAWB Action Plan Annual Implementation Report 2022: Roadmap for Decarbonisation and Depollution - progress update, challenges and opportunities were the focus of the first session. This session aimed to discuss the Annual Progress of the Implementation of the GAWB Action Plan 2022 and the perspective for the year 2023. The discussions of those present were reflected in the draft annual report distributed in advance to the participants.

The Annual Report on the Implementation of the GAWB Action Plan 2022: Circular Economy, Sustainable Agriculture and Biodiversity - progress update, challenges and opportunities were the focus of the second session. This session aimed to discuss the Annual Progress of the Implementation of the GAWB 2022 Action Plan and the 2023 outlook for the Circular Economy, Sustainable Agriculture and Biodiversity Roadmap.

The third session: The Green Agenda and civil society participation - State of play and ways forward, aimed to discuss the state of civil society participation in policy dialogue related to GAWB. Panelists shared their experiences in participating in GAWB-related dialogues with civil society at various levels, and we discussed ways forward in expanding the regional dialogue with civil society on the Green Agenda.

This event was very useful to build and expand our field networks at the regional level.
